Our goal is to enable underrepresented people to learn programming in a safe and collaborative environment and expand their career opportunities. To achieve this we run free regular workshops, regular one-off events and try to create opportunities for our students making technology and coding more accessible.

School of Code
School of Code offers a free 16 week online coding course open to applicants of all backgrounds. You don’t need to have any previous technical experience, or any qualifications. All you need is motivation, and to like solving problems! The purpose of the School of Code is to give everyone a route into technology, and teach them the skills they need to leap into the industry. With rising automation, the job landscape will change dramatically. We aim to prepare people with the tech skills and soft skills to become collaborative, creative coders. So far, we’ve achieved 90% employment from our previous cohorts. But, more important than stats, we’ve helped people completely change their lives for the better.

Birmingham Mind
Birmingham Mind is the largest independent mental health charity providing services in and beyond the City of Birmingham’s boundaries. Our services are individualised, person centred and deliver valued outcomes, as we passionately believe that everyone has the right to live lives that are meaningful and which enable them to reach their full potential as individuals. We work in active partnership with a range of local organisations to deliver services and challenge the stigma that surrounds mental distress.
